America in Bloom: Lompoc and surrounding areas is participating in a
community beautification project called America in Bloom. Gene reported
that he worked on the new area of bike path.
New Business:
Santa Ynez Gourmet Runs and Rides: Sheila distributed information
on. Gourmet Challenge benefitting the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation.
Start/finish Santa Ynez Park, 5k and 10k, walk/run and a full and 1/2
metric century bike ride through the Valley, followed by gourmet luncheon
with music and fun, $100 donation, 350-0294, dsobell@comcast.net.
Spooktacular: Gene shared information on this challenging ride that
takes place east of Bakersfield on October 25th. For more information

Half Moon Bay Tour: Gene shared information on this multi day tour from
Half Moon Bay Watsonville-Moro Bay-Lompoc. Tentatively scheduled
for the first week of October. Watch for E-mail from Gene with further
details.
Map My Ride: Mark reported that he has established
an account for the LVBC on http://www.mapmyride.com this program allows
users to in put route information and creates mapped bike routes.
